**Additional Information**:
The Glenn Gould School is looking for a co-instructor for the undergraduate course, Film Studies - Cinema after 1945. This course meets once a week for 3 hours - for a total of 12 weeks (Fall Term).

This course examines the trajectory of world cinema after 1945. This course prepares students to read, analyze, and write about cinema within the discipline of film studies. Students are taught to consider a film within its historical and geographic context, and are introduced to the formal study of genre, narrative, celebrity, industry, and cinematographic technique.

Examples could include films from the Hays Code era in Hollywood, The French New Wave, New German Cinema, the impact of the atomic bomb on Japanese cinema, British Realism, the question of Canadian cinema and Māori cinematic production in New Zealand. A focus on Toronto’s role as a hub of cinematic production is also recommended.

**Job Requirements**:
**What We're Looking For**:

- A Doctorate (preferred) or Master's degree, and post-secondary teaching experience in Film Studies or equivalent.

**Additional Requirements**:

- The selection process requires that the applicant submit week-by-week course outlines (including course materials such as texts, assignments and a grading system).
- These are required courses for all undergraduates.
