**(Permanent Position)**

**Overall Responsibility**:

- Monitor and adjust the overall effectiveness of schedules for operations in supporting corporate goals.
- Create violation free line sequences for manufacturing approval in a timely manner.
- Resolve and track coil size issues.
- Manage flow of information and material to the Outside Processors.
- Assist in the implementation of process and technology improvements.

**Accountabilities**:

- Monitor, evaluate and adjust the flow of material to each facility to complete the schedule. This includes both Primary and Finishing operations.
- Schedule and monitor the SEY facility.
- Ensure the integrity of the data being transmitted between levels 2, 3 and 4 and make changes to level 2 & 4 as required.
- Conformance to goals using measures developed for the following: Hot Mill Scheduling rules, Delivery goals, Product loadings, Warm charge track time goals, Use of plan diverts in Caster or Hot Mill schedules.
- Issue finishing schedule/line-ups consistent with direction from Team Leader, Launch Coordinators or Supply Chain Planners as required, includes off shifts.
- Run required algorithms, resolve violations and generate and issue line sequences to optimize internal operations, as required
- Facilitate the resolution and track coil size issues that are outside the minimum and maximum capabilities of the operational step.
- Sustain required inventory buffers in front of internal operations and effectively communicate exceptions.
- Ensure line sequences have been released with Manufacturing approval and within specified timelines.
- Monitor CSA requirements to achieve CSA Negotiated Dates as required
- Participate in related project work as requested.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Working knowledge of supply chain theory, order cycle time and logistics capability is an asset.
- Working knowledge of the interaction effects of finishing operations and Outside Processors is an asset.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Good problem solving, and analysis skills are required.
- Good negotiation skills are required.- Quick learner who can work well with others and independently.

**Education & Accreditation**:

- Minimum three year Community College Diploma and/or minimum 2 years of job related experience.

**Work Environment**:

- Office environment.
- This position is eligible for remote work in accordance with our current remote work policy.

**Hours of Work**:

- 12 hour rotating shift work (days/nights).
- The role provides 24/7 coverage, 365 days yearly. You will work on a team of 5 employees: 4 employees covering each shift and 1 employee providing vacation coverage.
