ARROWSMITH LODGE, a complex care facility located in Oceanside Parksville, BC. We are a preferred location for those needing long term care.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician immediately who can fulfil a part-time position that is available Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:30 - 4:30pm. We are seeking members that are committed to providing high quality care with a desire to work in a family-based community environment. We are minutes away from the ocean, with easy access to Ferries, Airports and the beautiful West Coast.

Arrowsmith Lodge is an Accredited unionized facility, and is a non-profit organization funded fully by Island Health.

Job Duties: This position includes maintenance duties related to buildings, grounds and equipment in a variety of areas such as electrical, plumbing and painting in compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and other related duties as per the HEU Collective Agreements. This job is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The applicant must be able to stand/kneel for extended periods of time, lift and carry heavy objects, and do repetitive tasks. Grade 10 plus one year's recent experience in a Residential Facility preferable.

The Maintenance Technician will be working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
