**Production Supervisor**

**How you will contribute**

You supervise and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in manufacturing bakery products including, inspecting work-in-progress and providing ongoing employee training.

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

- Determine ingredient and personnel requirements to meet specified production and coordinate work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Inform workers of production changes, and monitor control panels of mixers, freezers, ovens, and other equipment to determine whether control settings meet company specifications.
- Observe products in various stages of the process to visually determine whether products meet requirements for size, color, texture, and smoothness.
- Train new employees in work methods and procedures.
- Manage work area to ascertain the progress of scheduled work and observe workers to verify conformity with prescribed work procedures, safety regulations, productivity, and standards of work quality
- Routinely monitor ingredient levels and communicate requirements to Purchaser for immediate re-ordering.
- Attend daily meetings to discuss any production concerns and facilitate information flow between departments.
- Attend daily production meetings
- Participate (on a rotational basis with other Supervisors) in monthly Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings.
- All other duties as required.

**What will make you successful**
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations, supervisory responsibilities, and best practices.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in manufacturing, preferably in food production.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
- Must be available for shift work on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer competent (excel and word).
- Level 1 & 2 Certification for JH&SC.

Work schedule:Two-week rotation of days, evenings, and nights. Monday to Friday.

Physical Demands
- May be required to stand/sit for long periods of time.
- May engage in frequent bending, stooping, or squatting.
- Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
- Must be able to work in tight or enclosed spaces.
