**Position : Warehouse Inbound Supervisor**

**About the role**

Manage the inbound receiving process and team members to ensure all KPI’s and targets are achieved for products received.

**Responsibilities**

Management of inbound receiving team members
- Oversee receiving and other warehouse processes and personnel to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
- Provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments.
- Provide daily work assignments to staff and work with managers and other supervisors to coordinate personnel and resources as necessary to complete all work scheduled for department.

Management of Inbound receiving process
- Oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts and quality, complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures. Locate product to the appropriate areas according to procedure.
- Notify appropriate departments when supplier non-conformance or shortage/overages are found.
- Ensure all transfers are processed immediately upon arrival into warehouse.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload steel trucks as necessary.
- Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.
- Complete inventory transactions to receive, assign location and issue inventory as required.

Reporting
- Provide reports to Warehouse Manager as and when requested.

Consumables and supplies
- Monitor the usage of consumables and ensure that the relevant communications occur to ensure adequate stocks are maintained.
- Notify Warehouse Manager of any additional requirements for consumables/supplies in a timely manner to ensure delivery schedules are managed.

Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety regulations for self and staff at all times.
- Carry out internal health and safety audits as and when requested.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Carry out investigations into any accidents or near-miss incidents.

Communication
- Brief staff daily on operational targets and achievements.
- Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame.
- Provide warehouse management with end of day/shift handover information.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inbound receiving processes and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and train team members effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in receiving and inventory processes.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with team members, management, and other departments.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to conduct audits and investigations.
- Certification or experience in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety procedures.
