Public Works Operator- Summer Staff

Shelburne, Canada Town of Shelburne Full time

Duties of the position include:

- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Assist with pipe laying operations
- Assisting the water and wastewater utilities as needed
- Operate light utility vehicles for various purposes
- Operate lawn tractor and whipper snipper
- Painting
- Various cleaning tasks
- Waste collection
- Maintenance of gardens and hanging flower baskets
- Other duties as directed
- Have a valid Nova Scotia driver’s license
- Basic First Aid and WHMIS training
- Have the ability to work independently with little supervision
- Grade 12 education or equivalent GED
- 1-2 years of experience or equivalent

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 13 weeks

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
