**Community & Family Support Coordinator**
Reporting to the Program Director, this position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day supervision and proper facilitation of all community and family support programs, events, and initiatives within BGC Fort Saskatchewan. This position will also be responsible for the direct supervision of all support programs, BGC directives and any associated requirements as directed by the organization. The Community & Support Coordinator will work with the Program Director in any areas that are deemed fit such as filing, supervising, and staffing community and family support programs. The Community & Family Support supervisor will represent BGC and will do their utmost to develop and maintain a positive relationship with all staff, school partners, parents, community partners, and community members associated with the organization in any capacity. The Community & Family Support Supervisor will always represent Fort Saskatchewan and its interests as an essential part of the leadership team within the organization.
The Community & Family Support Supervisor must be available to be reached by phone in cases of emergency from the hours of 9:00am - 9:00pm Monday to Friday. All BGC Fort Saskatchewan staff are expected to be punctual and interact in a professional manner.
**Development & Implementation**
1. Develop and facilitate captivating, ever changing, and engaging supports that align with the BGC core values. Ensure supports are age appropriate while always being developmentally suitable for the various ages the supports serve. All supports must meet the physical, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional needs of participants that attend.
2. Implement supports directives as assigned by the Program Director.
3. Ensure all requirements are being met, record and maintain proper cliental notes including client interventions, client goal and accomplishments, client referrals, closure reports, and all information that pertains to clients. Ensure proper documentation is being met.
4. Coordinate and manage all community and family support programs and initiatives including the development of plans, staff facilitation, and provision of BGC equipment and supplies.
6. Help in support of the creation and ensured implementation of programs to recognize significant days and events such as Anti-bullying Day, Truth & Reconciliation, Black History Month, Earth Day, etc.
7. Ensure the creation, implementation, budgets, staffing, and program plans for successful support programs.
8. Ensure all supports provide a safe and caring environment, promotes positive child and youth development while providing mentoring opportunities.
9. Work to develop positive relationships with all BGC Fort Saskatchewan staff.
10. Ensure the successful implementation of selected volunteers into all identified supports.
11. Oversee and provide, if necessary, the overall case management and planning for all support clients.
12. Oversee the successful supports of all children, youth, and families that access services.
13. Develop, implement, and oversee proper intake process including assessment techniques, effective service plans and delivery, information sharing, all in accordance with Alberta provincial standards.
14. Oversee the successful completion of all statistical information and reports as required

15. Facilitate bi-monthly training sessions for all staff on identified topics.

**Personnel & Site Management and Supervision**
17. Ensure community and family staff fulfill expectations of position as detailed in “Community and Family Support Worker” job description.
18. Oversee the implementation of correct training, mentorship, and discipline as necessary when these expectations are not performed to the standard required. Set realistic goals and facilitate opportunities for BGC Program Staff to grow, develop, and practice skills necessary for success within all community and family supports.
19. Communicate effectively with Executive Director, Executive Team & all BGC Staff. Encourage team building and positive working relationships through accountability, reliability, and constructive feedback. Utilize the strengths of your team and the individuals it is comprised of to best achieve a successful program and supports.
20. Maintain a professional standard of practice and ensure all staff conduct themselves in an ethical manner.
21. Assist where needed with supports maintenance, supports facilitation, and cleaning duties as required or needed, including the ongoing maintenance of and accountability for BGC equipment.
