**Position**: Older Adult Program Coordinator
**Reports To**: Program Director
**Hourly Rate**: $26.65/h, Grade 9 (CUPE2998), 25h/week, some evenings and weekends required
**Contract**: April 2023 - December 31, 2023, with possibility of extension

**Job Function**:
Reporting to the Program Director, the _Older Adult Program Coordinator_ develops and oversees all aspects of social and recreational activities and related initiatives for senior citizens and adults aged 50+ at Scadding Court Community Centre.

This role involves planning, administration, supervision and service delivery elements of the day-to-day operations for
Older Adult Programs in a manner consistent with the policies and objectives of the Board of Management, funders and the needs of the community. They will develop and oversee a wide range of recreational, educational, and social activities to meet the needs and values of seniors and older adults from a diverse community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates, develops, plans, and implements workshops, educational and recreational activities for seniors and older adults, both online and in-person, and other designated programs and events for older adults as assigned.
- Develops systems and procedures that will ensure that there are equal opportunities to participate and promotes and fosters a positive and inclusive environment.
- Analyzes staffing requirements both paid and volunteer, coordinates staffing work schedules, and assists in direction, guidance, coaching, and support. Provides feedback for evaluations.
- Ensures the safety and well-being of all participants, adheres to all Health and Safety Policies, procedures, and protocols. Understands confidentiality protocol and handles sensitive information in a responsible manner.
- Maintains all appropriate records including registration, attendance, incident reports, and evaluations
- Responsible for evaluation of programs and activities, data compilation and project reports.
- Liaises with referring and funding agencies to maintain positive working relationships with community agencies and shares relevant information with the program team.
- Works closely with the Program Director and Development team to ensure the ongoing enhancement and growth of the Older Adults and Seniors programming.
- Adheres to and administers all polices and requirements related to funders, as well as other relevant policies from the City of Toronto and SCCC Board of Management.
- Keeps informed on local trends, gaps, emerging and ongoing challenges and opportunities as they impact programs in the sector.
- Attends and participates in all required meetings and trainings.
- Implements community outreach and program promotion through flyers, website, social media, partner agencies, and other avenues.
- Participates in program budgets and maintains expense records in collaboration with the Program Director and the Finance Director.
- Adhere to and promote organization Access, Equity and Inclusion policy.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Diploma in Aging and Gerontology, or related field and combination of experience.
- Knowledge of issues and services related to Older Adults and Seniors.
- Demonstrated experience to work independently and collaboratively, organized and flexible.
- Demonstrated experience in program planning. Knowledge of seniors’ programming, trends and practices.
- Excellent program management, planning and implementation skills
- Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops an asset.
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
- Able to conduct heavy lifting (carrying materials, helping with set-up and break-down of program rooms)
- Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Experience working in low-income, racialized environments.
- First Aid/CPR trained + adheres to Mandatory Vaccination Policy

Vulnerable Sector Check (provided by Scadding Court) required.
