Vitasoy USA was founded in 1978 and is accredited as one of the first companies to introduce soymilk to North America. Since then, we have established ourselves as Vitasoy North America, moved our headquarters to Toronto, Canada, and manage our brand portfolios across the US and Canadian markets. Our two major brands are VITASOY, nutritious soy, and other plant-based beverages, and VITA, tea, and other ready-to-drink beverages.

Our finance team is searching for a diligent and motivated accountant to join our team. As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key player in managing the region’s accounting transactions, intercompany reporting, and regulatory filings. You will work closely with our Global finance team in Hong Kong as well as various accounting, tax, and legal consultants to identify and implement process improvements and documentation. You will be presented with a great opportunity to learn full-cycle accounting requirements at a publicly listed company and exposure to both US and Canadian business operations.

The Financial Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor at Vitasoy North America Inc. This position is a hybrid working schedule with 3 days onsite.

**What You Will do**

**Trade Marketing**:

- Maintain the trade marketing promotions annual calendar, following the best practices for trade promotion; new product launch dates and Marketing campaigns, and coordinate monthly promotions design and planning.
- Maintain trade budget, and track spending across all distributors and retailers to ensure all trade promotions spent are efficiently deployed and documented.
- Track and provide reports on trade promotions performance in a timely manner, analyze promotions sales and provide insights on trade promotions improvements and optimizations.
- Manage key international manufacturer/vendor relationships regarding marketing requests and new product launches across different product categories.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Manipulate and analyze data from data supplied by various distributors.
- Compile and review stock turns to ensure base and incremental demand of skus are adequately supplied.
- Analyze sales and inventory data to make informed decisions regarding replenishment of items at the distributors’ level.
- Support and implement trade marketing strategies, annual budgeting process, quarterly board reporting, monthly sales forecast process.
- Analyze distribution gaps and incremental lifts from trade spend.
- Working closely with sales directors to uncover data analytics insights, business opportunities and prepare data driven customers’ business reviews.
- Initiative to see beyond the day-to-day business and seek opportunities to maximize the sales potential.
- Establish and maintain significant cross-functional relationships with import logistics team, finance, and other departments.

**Who You Are**

**What we are looking for**
- A bachelor’s degree or college equivalent program in Business.
- 2 to 4 years of experience working in a similar role and CPG or Import Business.
- Proficient in utilizing advanced data manipulation techniques and MS Excel for effective data management and analysis, resulting in the derivation of insightful conclusions presented in logical format.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills along with a strong professional attribute
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Solid organizational, time management, and planning abilities, showcasing competence in prioritization and multitasking.
- Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be considered an asset.
