**Salary Range**: $61,000 - $65,000, plus benefits

**Background**:
The Ontario Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Strategy (Oahas) and Elevate NWO (ENWO) started a warming centre (Maamowiitaawigamig: Northside Warming Centre) in November 2021. Maamowiitaawigamig was started in response to community needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been co-operated by Oahas and ENWO. At the Maamowiitaawigamig we serve a hot breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday, and also provide a space where people can access items of a personal nature (hygiene products, clothes, shoes), a foodbank, traditional medicines and support from an Elder, as well as harm reduction supplies and HIV and HCV education.

In April 2023, we received community-based research funding to continue offering the year-round drop-in services at Maamowiitaawigamig, as well as increased clinical services, including a Registered Nurse (RN) and part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide increased access to HIV prevention and treatment. Through this project, we will evaluate the drop-in services to determine if these services increase our ability to build meaningful relationships in the community, reduce barriers, and increase access to HIV prevention and treatment. Our goal is to create a permanent community gathering place that is Indigenous-led, focused on community development related to HIV prevention, treatment, and linkage to care, and centers on principles of harm reduction (nothing about us without us), the greater involvement of people living with HIV (GIPA) and the meaningful engagement of people living with HIV (MEPA).

**Job Summary**:
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the project, including ensuring there is appropriate staffing scheduled to cover services at Maamowiitaawigamig (drop-in centre), managing the 5-member Thunder Bay Oahas staff team, and ensuring there is tracking and monitoring of daily activities and data is entered into a database system. This position will also be responsible for coordinating the data collection (surveys & interviews) and working closely with the project evaluator to ensure appropriate data is collected over the duration of the project. This position will also be part of the team to interpret and analyze the data and support the development of reports and knowledge translation and exchange (KTE) products.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Management**
- Act as liaison between Maamowiitaawigamig and clinical staff to support access to HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and linkage to care.
- In partnership with project evaluator, support the collection of research data and analysis.
- Take part in all research meetings providing vital information and input.
- Lead team meetings between organizations related to project events and staffing the drop-in centre.
- Support staff to ensure safety for all staff and community members in the workplace.

**Community and Client Services**
- Oversee the development and delivery of education presentations and workshops focused on HIV & HCV prevention and transmission, as well as Indigenous harm reduction and sexual health.
- Oversee the development of the monthly calendar of events and workshops that will be provided as part of Maamowiitaawigamig services.
- Oversee the provision of services offered through Maamowiitaawigamig, including the foodbank and community closet.
- Lead the delivery of culturally grounded and safe services while building service volumes, specific to community needs, funding contracts, and best practices. This includes providing direct support to community members.
- Network and collaborate locally and regionally to ensure access to improved, culturally grounded, safe, and inclusive services and supports offered by Indigenous and non
- Indigenous agencies/institutions, AIDS Service Organizations and, individuals including Knowledge Carriers and Elders.
- Keep current with epidemiological and other statistics relevant to Indigenous people; new developments in the field such as vaccines, criminalization of HIV, new trends or sector changes affecting Indigenous access to care, treatment, support, etc.
- Supervise the delivery of services related to Indigenous harm reduction, universal precautions, modes of transmission, safer sex, cultural awareness, Indigenous history, Indigenous awareness, two-spirit awareness, youth-specific awareness, trans awareness, 2SLGBTGIA awareness, women’s awareness, sex-work, HIV and pregnancy, co-morbidities, methadone maintenance, opioid and pain management etc.

**People Leadership and Supervision**
- Supervise a staff team of 5 - 8 people and ensure there is appropriate staff scheduling for drop-in services.
