We are seeking a **Chief Information Officer **to join our team.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer, as a Chief Information Officer, your primary function is:

- Works closely with the executive team to further develop and implement the vision, strategy and governance structure for information and technology. A digital transformation is already underway at LABC, with a digital strategy set to fulfill our new organizational strategy. Our new CIO improve upon that roadmap and implement the strategy.
- Responsible for our foundational IT services including enterprise architecture, networks and security, software, data storage infrastructure, messaging systems, website and policies that ensure our information and technology resources and investments enable the organizational strategy, and to meet the needs of our employees, board of directors, our tariff lawyers, and stakeholders.
- Oversees vendor management, ensuring strategic alignment and value realization from our IT service providers. They will be responsible for negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and assessing vendor performance. The CIO collaborates with the privacy officer to ensure compliant data management throughout the organization.

**Key accountabilities include, but aren't limited to**:

- Serves as a centralized business owner (with accountability and responsibility) for data management throughout the organization.
- Leads the IT service optimization, driving efficiency and effectiveness in our technology operations. This includes implementing best practices, managing IT budgets, and ensuring the continuous improvement and modernization of IT services.

You have:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience in managing multi-projects (IT or business-driven) or overseeing a Project Management
- Office
- Proven experience in digital strategy and best practices; and in planning, organizing, and developing IT security and facility security system technologies, and in business continuity planning.
- Lived experience of systemic inequity
- Excellent understanding of project management principles.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to security.
- Experience with IT governance, risk, and compliance management.
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with a commitment to LABC’s mandate.
