Plant Operator

The person will be responsible to assist with the operation of the emulsion processing plant.
- Oversee and operate the Innovex Emulsion and Innovex Sensitizer Agent processing plants in accordance with BME MC standard operating procedures
- Meet daily production output while adhering to expectations for:

- Production productivity
- Material usage efficiency
- Adhere to sound EHS and Quality principles
- Ensure product availability and product and process compliance to minimum

quality standards
- Ensure adherence to test procedures relating to acceptance, processing and

releasing of goods
- Take samples and utilize laboratory equipment to measure product characteristics
- Assist with the emulsion and raw material batch preparation
- Perform quality control testing of raw materials and products
- Assist in loading and material handling of raw materials and final product output

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all manufactured product conforms to product processing specification
- Meet daily production targets.
- Ensure availability and uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components
- Be able to perform raw material acceptance checks to ensure conformance to quality acceptance criteria.
- Be able to report and record on raw material usage.
- To work safely, always conforming to the applicable occupational health and safety legislation and the applicable explosives legislation.
- Understand the safety requirements of working with hazardous materials and materials that may be susceptible to electrostatic discharge.
- Practice good housekeeping principles at all times

**Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Attributes**
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12 Diploma - further relevant qualifications or college diploma in chemical or mining related discipline would be advantageous
- Previous experience in emulsion process plants or chemical process plants would be advantageous.
- Must be a dependable person that is able to work without direct supervision, on their own and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve targets safely and with exceptional quality of work.
- Demonstrated ability to meet daily assembly targets consistently.
- Physically fit, dependable, and energetic with sober habits.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
