About the Role
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
Receive and respond to inquiries and concerns, both verbal and written, from employees, community members, parent/guardian/caregivers on behalf of the Superintendent.
Research and compile required information for meetings, reports, inquiries, agendas and presentations on behalf of the Superintendent.
Maintain and administer the professional calendar of the Superintendent.
Support the organization and coordination of meetings, activities, and events related to the Superintendent’s portfolio of responsibilities.
Maintain confidential files and records, including budget tracking and reports.
Provide administrative support for Board committees.
Provide relief support / coverage in the event another Executive Assistant is absent.

**Qualifications**:
College diploma/certificate in Office Administration or related field of study.
Minimum five years of relevant experience in a senior administrative support role.
Comprehensive knowledge of Ministry of Education, Board policies and procedures, and the complex and reciprocal connections among different elements of the organization.
Demonstrated management, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, conflict resolution and client service with a foundation of reciprocity, human rights and equity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and high-level multi-tasking abilities.
Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to adapt to changes in priorities, assignments, and other disruptions on a day-to-day basis.
Experience and comfort with autonomy and decision making within a defined scope in a highly confidential environment.
Adaptability to support the Superintendent and members of Executive Council in a collaborative team environment with other Executive Assistants.
High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office and web meeting tools.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Board’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan, policies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Board’s Equity Action Plan.
Knowledge of the Indigenous Education Circle Strategic Action Plan and an ability to provide a welcoming environment and engage ethically with Indigenous families and staff.
Demonstrate an anti-oppressive/anti-racist understanding and be responsive to the needs and interests of employees, community members, parent/guardian/caregivers.
Demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment.
Availability and flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required.
