**About Us**:
The Earth Resources and Geoscience Mapping Section delivers its program through multi-year, multidisciplinary geoscience projects that address critical geoscience problems in key geographic areas of the province to improve the understanding of the geology, geochemistry and Earth resources (metals, minerals, aggregates, groundwater, hydrocarbons) of Ontario and to convey this knowledge to the public. The section ERGMS conducts a variety of regional geoscience projects across the entire province including airborne geophysical surveys, bedrock and surficial mapping, lake water and sediment sampling surveys, 3D subsurface mapping, aggregate and industrial mineral inventories. The section's geoscience products (data, maps, reports) and expert services are used for mineral exploration, land-use planning, establishment of environmental baseline and public health and safety.

- Leading and delivering a diverse range of regional geoscience mapping, sampling and inventory projects across Ontario as part of the provincial geoscience mapping program.
- Providing leadership, coaching, guidance and direction to professional and technical employees to ensure effective and timely delivery of high-quality geoscience projects.
- Managing the administrative functions and activities of the Earth Resources and Geoscience Mapping Section, at the project-level, in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and policy.
