Le Beau is currently looking a Baker who will help us to create our iconic croissants and other baking items for our customers. If you are experienced baker with 3-5 croissant/bread baking experience who loves boutique local bakery environment and would love to work with the robust team of professionals, this should be the right fit for you.

**Responsibilities**:
**Proofing Dough**: Monitor and manage the proofing process, ensuring that the dough achieves the desired texture and consistency.

**Dough Handling**: Skillfully handle dough throughout its preparation, ensuring proper shaping, resting, and readiness for baking.

**Lamination for Pastries**: Execute precise lamination techniques, layering dough and incorporating butter to create flaky and enticing pastries, particularly for items like croissants.

**Cutting Techniques**: Expertly cut and shape dough to create consistent and appealing baked goods, including bread, pastries, and specialty items.

**Butter Incorporation**: Master the art of folding and rolling butter into laminated dough, creating layers that contribute to the excellence of croissants and other pastries.

**Production Scheduling Assistance**: Collaborate with the bakery team to assist in production scheduling, ensuring that baking is timely and efficient.

**Inventory Tracking**: Proficiently track inventory levels, supporting efficient product ordering and minimizing shortages.

**Equipment Operation, Cleanliness, and Safety**: Operate baking equipment accurately, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to safety standards.

**Diverse Baking, Quality, and Training**: Create varied bread, ensure high quality, and provide training for consistent production. Stay updated on trends for innovative offerings.

**Requirements**:

- Dependable / reliable / punctual / responsible
- Good team player
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg
- Must be able to quickly understand machinery and know how to operate it
- Up to date Safe Food Handling Certificate

Le Beau is a croissanterie, café and dessert bar located on Dundas Street East in Toronto.

At Le Beau, we specialize in croissants (one-of-a-kind in Toronto) and laminated dough, but we also offer a small selection of high-quality seasonal pastries and bakery items. Everything is rolled and baked daily in-house and is limited in stock.

Our Chef trained in France and worked at a renowned patisserie in Paris. She values the highest quality ingredients, craftsmanship, simplicity and tradition in everything she creates.
