As the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist, you’ll be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our SEO strategy.

Reporting to the Manager, Search Optimization of Sunlife.ca within the Client Experience Office, you’ll work across the Canadian organization to elevate our Search Engine Optimization programs.

You’ll be joining a team with a strong culture rooted in kindness and mutual respect. We’re creative problem solvers with expertise across multiple digital disciplines. Our approach is dynamic, synthesizing data and best practices to deliver a continuously improving web experience for prospects and clients.

This is an hybrid role where you’ll have the opportunity to determine when to work from home or at the office.

**What will you do?**
- Monitor, evaluate, analyze, and report on SEO results, take a data driven approach towards optimization
- Develop a content strategy in coordination with business objectives optimizing existing content and uncovering new opportunities
- Write SEO-driven website content (meta elements, long
- and short-form content)
- Work closely with web developers, publishers, and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices and new initiatives
- Complete technical SEO audits for various Sun Life web sites and work with developers and publishers to resolve priority issues
- Identify new technical SEO opportunities (e.g. Local search, speed improvements, Schema, Voice Search, etc.)
- Leverage best in class SEO tools, and providing recommendations on which SEO tools we should be investing in
- Provide SEO training for content writers, publishers, UX, and other partners

**What do you need to succeed ?**
- 1+ years of proven SEO experience
- Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices
- Proven experience driving major improvements in organic search performance for large and enterprise level websites
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong writing skills
- In depth experience with analytics & tracking tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, BrightEdge, OnCrawl, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, etc.)
- Excellent oral presentation skills
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with cross
- functional teams
- Experience working with content creators
- Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS for SEO
- Ability to work in a fast -paced environment, effectively prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to find creative solutions, driving business outcomes

**What will be nice to have?**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Experience in the Financial Services/Wealth Management/Insurance industry
