**What you will be doing**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the managing lawyer with advancing the litigation;
- Conduct intake meetings and interviews with new clients and prospective new clients;
- Review and analyze medical records, cases, policies, and other records;
- Perform legal research;
- Prepare for and attend legal proceedings, including discovery, mediation and trial;
- Consult and communicate with medical experts;
- Prepare, write and argue legal documents and pleadings;
- Communication with clients and team members, and medical professionals;
- Participate in trial preparation and attend trials in various capacities.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Comprehensive understanding of medical malpractice and personal injury law
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Willingness to learn from senior lawyers to meet our client needs
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication
- Resourceful and solution-oriented
- Confident and driven
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Some courtroom experience a plus
- Defence work a plus
- Ability to work independently and to bring a positive teamwork attitude to the workplace
- Effective leadership skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.B. degree required
