The Assistant Coach is a pivotal component of the Competitive Program at CFA, contributing to the club's commitment to excellence in youth soccer. Operating year-round, this program offers our players a chance to compete in regional leagues across Central Ontario and district levels in Toronto. As an Assistant Coach, you will work closely with the head coach to foster the development of our players through CFA's curriculum, guided by Canada Soccer’s Long Term Player Development model. This includes supporting all aspects of team management, from on-field training and game preparation to off-field administration and player tracking.

**Position Summary**

The Assistant Coach is a pivotal component of the Competitive Program at CFA, contributing to the club's commitment to excellence in youth soccer. Operating year-round, this program offers our players a chance to compete in regional leagues across Central Ontario and district levels in Toronto. As an Assistant Coach, you will work closely with the head coach to foster the development of our players through CFA's curriculum, guided by Canada Soccer’s Long Term Player Development model. This includes supporting all aspects of team management, from on-field training and game preparation to off-field administration and player tracking.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Coaching and Training**: Deliver technical coaching in alignment with CFA's philosophy, ensuring high-quality training sessions. Implement and adapt the annual and monthly training plans as necessary.
- **Team Coordination**: Work in tandem with the head coach and collaborate with other club coaches to maintain a cohesive coaching strategy.
- **Competition Support**: Assist the head coach during all competitions, contributing to strategy and player support.
- **Communication**: Maintain regular communication with the Head Coach, Technical Director, and team parents to ensure a transparent and supportive environment.
- **Player Development**: Monitor and document player progress, liaising with the Club’s Goalkeeping Staff to support the development of goalkeepers.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Proven track record in youth soccer coaching and player development. Previous playing experience at a competitive level is desirable.
- **Certifications**: Must hold U9 to U12 Learn to Train, U13+ Soccer for Life certifications. Additional qualifications like Make Ethical Decisions, Respect in Soccer, and Concussion awareness are preferred.
- **Availability**: Must be available for coaching sessions several times weekly, including early evenings and weekends. A reliable means of transportation is ideal.

**Additional Information**
- This part-time position requires a flexible schedule, including day shifts, Monday to Friday, and weekend commitments as necessary.
- Residence in Toronto or the ability to start workdays as early as 5 PM is preferred.

**Preferred Experience & Certifications**
- 2+ years of coaching experience.
- 8+ years of playing experience.
- Learn to Train or equivalent coaching certification (preferred).

**Location**: In-person, Toronto-based

**Job Type**: Part-time

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
