wow-Cakes is a family run pastry shop We are looking for a pastry assistant who has the passion for desserts. Who is energetic, motivated, responsible, team player, creative with the ability to pay attention to details. An individual who is willing and is able to continually grow and strive in a fast pace environment. You will be working along side our chef.

SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS
- Adapts easily to change; works quickly and accurately under pressure, tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Must have knowledge in preparing a wide variety of cakes & pastries. Knowledge in filling and masking cakes, piping, glazing, decorating cakes and pastries.
- Strong organization skills with keen attention to detail.
- Be able to follow recipes, scale and follow instructions.
- Follow all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety, Maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment.
- Pastry Assistant typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Typically reports to chef. Must be willing to work under moderate supervision. A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift
