**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hour shifts.

**What you will do**:

- Plan, manage and monitor the overall delivery of patient care;
- Act as a consultant in complex clinical decisions relating to patient care;
- Facilitate problem solving, integration and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team;
- Initiate, design and implement quality improvement activities within the unit;
- Provide support, guidance, and education to support care delivery in a manner consistent with the principles, policies and best practices of The Ottawa Hospital;
- Define and maintain clear lines of communication with all members of the health care team and with other departments within the organization, community groups and professional organizations;
- Evaluate performance and ensure the development of skills and competencies required;
- Interview, select, hire and onboard/orient new employees.

**What you will bring**:

- Baccalaureate Degree in a health related discipline;
- Five (5) or more years of clinical and management experience combined;
- Strong leadership skills to support and provide direction to staff in an active and rapidly changing environment;
- Proven ability in working effectively with all members of health care team;
- Excellent oral/written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making skills;
- Excellent knowledge of principles of management and research based practice;
- Knowledge of budgeting process and ability to analyze fiscal and patient care data;
- Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of principles and issues related to the delivery of primary care;
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills related to Business Management.

**You will stand out with**:

- Master's Degree in Health Administration/ Management, Nursing or a health related program;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
