**Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECA)**

**We are hiring ECA, who can work in classrooms as supply staff and lunch coverage staff.**

**Angelic Treasures follows a play-based curriculum. Our approach is to plan engaging and education activities solely based on the children’s interest and supports their needs.**

**Our Educators are required to fulfill the following**:

- **Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of all children.**:

- **Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and providing opportunities to express creativity.**:

- **Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits**:

- **Make daily observations and observe children for signs of potential learning and assess their ongoing interests to incorporate them into the programs**:

- **Establish guidelines for behavior**:

- **Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children**:

- **Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children**:

- **Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or concerns with parents and other staff members**

**Education: A diploma or degree in a related field or relevant experience**

**Our Educators must be willing to learn about the following important documents**:

- **Early Years Act**:

- **E.L.E.C.T Document**:

- **Ministry Licensing Requirements**

**Following must be attained to work in a childcare setting**:

- **Recent and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check/criminal reference check**:

- **Able to work independently and part of a team**:

- **Current First Aid and CPR Level C**:

- **Outstanding ability to connect with Children on their level**:

- **TB test results as well as all immunizations are up to date**

or Part-time (Monday to Friday between operating hours of 7 am and 6 pm)

Compensation: Commiserate with experience

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
