homeD focuses on innovative housing solutions to address the affordable housing challenges in our cities and communities. homeD modular solutions are high performing, high quality and with a longer life span. Our recent project in Vancouver will serve people who are impacted by homelessness.

homeD is looking for Carpenter to build our innovative, high performing modular homes.
- Implement work as per plans from framing to finishing, including floors, walls, roofs, interior and exterior finishing
- Understand and build in accordance with blueprints, drawings, sketches
- Have in depth knowledge of construction techniques and best practices in the field
- Plan work and material to ensure adherence to production schedule
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials as per operation procedure
- Operate hand and power tools by following health and safety guidelines
- Various other tasks as required

**Requirements and qualifications**:

- Red Seal certificate or apprentice training preferred
- Knowledge of residential building codes, standards and regulations
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Personal tools
- Experience in residential projects
- Valid criminal record check within 6 months

**Compensation**: $25-40 per hour depending on experiences

**Working Hours**:7:00am - 3:00pm

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Coquitlam, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (required)

Work Location: One location

Expected start date: 2023-03-20
