**Job Summary**
As a Project Manager/ Estimator, you will be an integral part of our management team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination both internally and externally. Your primary responsibilities will include:
**Duties**
- Manage multiple custom metal fabrication projects simultaneously while ensuring strict compliance with project requirements and meticulously controlling budget.
- Manage the project schedule and milestone dates and ensure that close-out checklists are prepared and maintained during the project lifecycle.
- Providing end-to-end project management support, encompassing planning, scheduling, delegating, and controlling the tasks, with a focus on budget control, adherence to project requirements and scope, progress and quality monitoring, resolution of design-related issues.
- Reviewing and developing bid proposals by conducting detail material take offs, estimating manpower and equipment requirements, and analyzing subcontractor pricing.
- Manage the preconstruction process including subcontracting procedure, which includes facilitating regular scope review meetings, finalizing agreed processes, developing subcontract scopes of work, and managing the subcontract distribution and final execution process.
- Ensuring projects align rigorously with the scope of work, and handling RFI, RFQ, CO, safety regulations, and stringent quality requirements.
- Reviewing and developing bid proposals by conducting detail material take offs, estimating manpower and equipment requirements, and analyzing subcontractor pricing.
- Managing, issuing, and tracking Work Orders for production with relevant documentation,
- Managing and issuing contracts and reviewing and authorizing project-related invoices to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Undertaking site investigations to resolve design and onsite problems, and to improve the quality of work.
- Oversee the procurement of various civil, and structural components.
- Direct the process of determining the quantity of budget estimates / deliverables to the client.
- Manage the project administration and daily operations, escalating issues as necessary.
- Monitor the change management process, which includes identifying change events, submitting change notices, pricing and tracking change work, optional changes in project scope, and negotiating change orders with clients.
- Manage the review and communicate objectives for critical milestones, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction measurements to project team members.
- Understand and comply with client requirements, Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and all applicable government laws and regulations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external customers to ensure efficient coordination of job execution and the ability to generate future work.
- Receives project hand-over information from estimating, compiles and maintains detailed records of all dates, drawings, documents and correspondence (both written and verbal) related to projects.
- Leads project and, estimating team identifies critical path items, and manages around the long lead material procurement. Oversees project kick-off and progress meetings.
- Collaborating closely with the Engineering department to ensure that metal fabrication meets all specified requirements
- Develop and cultivate new sales leads.
- Established strategies, budgeted, forecasted finances, and drafted proposals to obtain fundings for client-based projects to improve the client relationship and increase the overhead revenue.
- Works with client representatives through all stages of the project including engineering, drafting, construction, and contracts.
- Establishes project communication plan and conducts regular status reviews with the project team, internal and external clients, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Leading price negotiation with clients on tenders, as well as vendors and suppliers to demand and secure competitive pricing on materials and services.
- Ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, and according to customer expectations.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

- Civil, or Structural Engineering degree
- At lease 5 years project management experience
- Exhibit excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
- Be highly motivated, proactive, and eager to tackle new challenges.
- Extensive experience in performing material take-offs and estimating.
- Have direct experience managing miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects, either within a specialized sub-trade or with a general contractor.
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and project management principles.
- In-depth understanding of miscellaneous metal and structural steel projects.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural and structural drawings for material take-off, estimation, and shop drawing preparation.
