Estimator/project Manager

**Overview**:
We are seeking an estimator/project manager for our team that leads and coordinates construction projects from initiation to completion, demonstrating expertise in project management, estimating, and emergency response/rebuild scenarios. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining positive client relationships and adherence to quality standards.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and coordinate project construction activities, ensuring effective management from initiation to completion.
- Review in detail project specifications for accurate scheduling and costing.
- Proficiently interpret blueprints, providing precise drawings, scopes of work, and instructions to the Construction Manager and technical crews.
- Supervise both onsite and offsite construction progress, ensuring strict adherence to building and safety standards.
- Conduct daily reviews of work in progress to monitor project advancement.
- Ensure compliance with contractual conditions of performance.
- Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms, and obtain necessary licenses and permits.
- Serve as a key liaison with clients, maintaining constant communication with all involved parties throughout the project.
- Maintain a professional and positive rapport with clients.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks effectively.
- Attend site meetings and actively participate in the preparation and submission of tenders.
- Demonstrate the ability to generate new leads with profitable outcomes.
- Manage and maintain business development relationships and records.
- Prepare budgets and internal/external quality reports.
- Approve and process work orders and purchase orders on a daily basis.
- Proactively plan to prevent deficiencies and swiftly resolve any emerging issues.
- Attend relevant business functions, luncheons, and trade shows as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Possesses relevant construction and/or design/build experience.
- Demonstrates significant experience in emergency response and rebuild projects, particularly in flood, fire, mold, and wind scenarios.
- Proficient in using Xactimate for estimating purposes.
- Proven track record in the industry, with a focus on emergency response and rebuild projects.
- Solid knowledge of building materials, construction products, regulations, and quality standards.
- Possesses advanced understanding of construction techniques and methods.
- Exhibits strong sales, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management and project management abilities.
- Demonstrates the capability to multitask and effectively oversee/manage multiple projects under pressure, tight deadlines, and with little to no supervision.
**Schedule**:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
**Compensation**: $41,644.14**,** $128,116.46 annually
**Ability to commute/relocate**:
Noth York, reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting woke (required)
**Experience**:
Construction estimating: 1 year (required)
**Work location**: In person
