**POSITION: Hotel Maintenance person (hourly) (Shift Work and Weekends)**

**Reporting To: Maintenance Lead**

**Basic Responsibilities**:

- Understand the basic principles of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, key/locks, electrical (lighting), carpentry/furniture, painting and drywall and glass repairs.
- Provide own tools to complete job assignments as required.
- Work independently, without immediate supervision.

**Property Description**

**Address: 2501 Argentia Road, Mississauga** **Rooms: 206 Rooms**

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Practices regular preventative maintenance and upgrades as necessary all technical services & components of the building including electrical systems, mechanical systems, energy management systems, fire alarm/safety systems, elevator, grounds, parking, renovation, swimming pool, spa etc.
- Ensures compliance with hotel’s Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
- Supports the service personnel in any way possible to enhance guest services.
- Maintenance duties inside/outside of the buildingto keep the hotel’s appearance at its best.
- Report to work on time as scheduled. Required to work shifts and weekends.
- Adhere to all Hotel policies and procedures, and follow procedures listed in daily work assignments.
- Complete all work assignments related to: carpentry, plumbing, and drywall, electrical, painting, Pool/Spa. All reporting must be completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance as required from daily recording and follow-up of maintenance items reported in maintenance logbooks and/or quality control inspections of hotel equipment (i.e. washers/dryers, vacuums, ice machines, guestroom amenities), guestrooms, common areas, storage rooms, exterior grounds and all areas under control of this department.
- **All other duties as assigned and outlined in the job description.**

**Job Requirements**
- Must be able to work flexible hours with varied shifts
- Must have excellent communication skills and be self motivated

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $22.51 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
