**THE ROLE**
- Regularly meet with the Head Coach to ensure the successful implementation of all recommended and current programs.
- Support all aspects of the hockey program during the competitive season. This will include both on
- and off-ice sessions. This can include morning and after-school practices, one weekend tournament (Jan. 12-15) and training sessions occurring Monday through Thursday
- Assist in conducting discussions regarding student-athlete recruitment and the identification of potential prospects.
- Ensure adherence to hockey safety standards for school-based physical activities as per the Ontario Physical Education Safety Guidelines

**WHAT YOU NEED**
- NCCP and Hockey Canada Coaching Certification or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of the game of hockey
- Coaching experience in practice design, skill instruction, and implementation.
- Proven leadership ability within a competitive team setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage/communicate effectively with student-athletes, administrators and general public
- OPHEA safety requirements for Hockey
