We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Van-Whole Produce, a leading produce wholesaler. As a Janitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the overall hygiene and sanitation of our facility.

**Duties**:

- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Sanitize and clean restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Ensure cleanliness in offices, corridors, and warehouse spaces.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables according to company policies and regulations.
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed.
- Monitor and empty trash receptacles regularly.
- Ensure that restrooms are well-stocked with necessary toiletries.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Assist in preparations for special events or inspections.
- Collaborate with other staff to accomplish cleaning tasks efficiently.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with janitorial work.
- Stamina and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
