What You’ll be Doing:
- Manage TCI’s EMS (environmental management systems) including internal/external audits, reporting, documentation, training, internal/external communication, and implementation of corrective actions related to ongoing ISO 14001 compliance- Lead Annual E-Comm meetings with Regional Offices- Plan and prepare for all external ISO audits. Ensure all audit findings are addressed and reported internally- Manage all current and future EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) or Stewardship programs including monthly reporting requirements and regular audit activities (e.g. tires, fluids, filters, recycling, batteries, etc.)- Provide support in the consultation, analysis and interpretation of current and proposed regulations including Federal/Provincial and Facility GHG (Greenhouse Gas), Federal and Provincial ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicles), Federal Criteria Pollutant, SOC (Substances of Concern), Clean Fuel Credits, and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)- Support all TCI environmental reporting requirements including GHG, ZEV, Criteria Pollutant, SOC and ESG, while maintaining an organized record-keeping system- Learn and remain informed of all potential regulatory activity that may impact TCI, while supporting TCI responses regarding provincial/federal issues, and proposed regulations (Stewardship, SOC, Emissions, etc.)- Support the development and implementation of TCI’s Environmental Action Plan through activities such as the North American Environmental Report, Environmental Week/Earth Day activities, and general environmental initiatives and communications- Ensure TCI compliance regarding the management of SDS (Safety Data Sheets), TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) and SOCs- Manage fuel consumption reporting/communications internally and with NRCan- Support the reporting of ESG data to TMNA (Toyota Motor North America) and TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation) for regulatory submissions- Provide technical support and assistance at a detailed level with Canadian federal and provincial environmental regulations and compliance issues impacting Toyota and Lexus products and non-manufacturing facilities operations- Attend Government/Industry environmental regulation consultation meetings- Act as a liaison to provide technical support for the communications activities of the External Affairs department and lobbying activities of the Government Affairs department
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree in business, science or a relevant discipline- 3+ years of experience in an environmental compliance role or relevant experience- Experience managing environmental management systems within a business- Technical knowledge of environmental-related regulations and transportation of dangerous goods regulations- Experience with detailed environmental-related reporting and audits- Analytical and problem-solving ability- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies- Ability to travel occasionally- Automotive industry experience is an asset- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
