**The Opportunity (Role Summary)**

**Summary**

As TheAppLabb's Product Owner, you are responsible for overseeing the development of products from start to finish to meet the client’s needs using many resources. This would include determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items ,creating roadmaps, sprint plan and overseeing product releases.

**What you will do **(Responsibilities)**
- Build and maintain good strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and act as a proxy for the client to the development teams
- Maintain a strong sense of accountability and ownership of the product
- Work within an Agile environment and lead all agile ceremonies
- Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
- Work closely with all stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog factoring business needs and goals
- Create, refine, and maintain user stories and associated deliverables such as process flows to meet development and stakeholder needs
- Develop & manage the project roadmap throughout the product development process
- Manage product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities with all stakeholders
- Work closely with the squad, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and high-level estimates
- Create and present progress reports to all stakeholders in a timely fashion
- Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance
- Other duties, as assigned

**What You’ll need (Required Qualification)**
- Formal Education or Equivalent:

- BS or MS in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience Years of Experience
- Years of Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as Product Owner in Agile Product environment for web and mobile centric products
- Competencies:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects
- High sense of accountability
- Effective engagement with remote, distributed teams
- Specialized skills, knowledge, or certifications unique to this role
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Proficient in JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in measuring metrics using JIRA
- Strong knowledge of mobile app development methodologies
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- Experience with Product Strategy & Road Mapping
- Scrum training and certifications (e.g., CSPO or PSPO)
- Proven track record delivering at least one successful B2C product with over 100,000 users is an asset
- Proficiency with writing and has a solid understanding of SQL queries is an asset
- Background as a developer/software engineer is an asset
- Experience in new digital technologies such Cloud, Analytics, No-SQL databases is an asset
