The Lake Echo Community Recreation Centre Summer Camp is for children aged 5-12. Camp staff are a dedicated group of responsible young adults carefully selected for their character, maturity, skills, and sincere interest in the growth and development of youth. Camp Leaders are directly responsible for the care and supervision of campers as well as facilitating camp activities.

This position requires strong leadership skills, teamwork, a caring nature, and a willingness to have fun Camp Leaders are directly responsible for camper supervision and safety as well as for facilitating a variety of ageappropriate activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participating in training, staff meetings, and program evaluation
- Assisting with camper drop-off/ safe return to their Parents/ Guardians
- Ensuring participant safety Facilitating/ supervising camp activities indoors, outdoors, and at the beach
- Modeling positive behaviors such as sportsmanship, manners, responsibility, and respectfulness to camp participants
- Communicating in an effective, professional, and courteous manner with participants and their Parents/ Guardians Maintaining camp equipment and supplies

**Qualifications**:

- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Responsible, caring and enthusiastic
- Excellent communication
- Standard First Aid (preferred, training will be offered if not certified)

**Salary**: $14.50 per hour
