**Service Manager**

**Overview**

The Service Manager will lead the success of the Service Department team with hard work and increased productivity by being innovative in how we will manage the relationships, processes, workflow and reaching daily department's work priorities, and building loyal clientele by providing unforgettable customer experience.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Monitor staffing attendance
- Check previous day technician production numbers: premise time against work order time
- Communicate with each technician
- Walk through shop to see what all the technicians are working on
- Review customer feedback and address customer concerns as is necessary
- Review work orders to ensure they are coded correctly
- Available for consult and support for technicians, warranty administrators and parts personnel
- Ensure work orders on clipboards
- Confirm external estimates are correct, review estimates for accuracy
- Review the service documents and financial performance of the department daily
- Provide customer service for issues that need to be addressed at management level
- Follow-up on received parts for service
- Track technician productivity and open repair order reports and others as directed
- Responsible for a profitable operation of the service department while gaining maximum production under controllable costs
- Setting and maintaining profit goals
- Maintains a balance between shop efficiency, labor rates, and expenses
- Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the service department and shop

- Ensure staff have the right equipment and tools
- Ensure staff have the education necessary to do the work
- Ensure that there is a positive environment for staff to work in
- Available to respond to the moment to moment needs of the team
- Ensure a respectful workplace for all staff

**Qualifications**
- Prior RV or Automotive experience, management experience and service writer experience are preferred
- Ability to think beyond industry norms and find ways to increase margins
- Reliable, strong work ethic, professional appearance is a must
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to listen and provide solutions to customer issues
- Should be honest, accountable, and have a positive attitude
- Should have a passion to do a great job and strive to exceed expectation
- Must possess strong conflict resolution skills
- Must be driven to help people, passionate about customer service, and ready to lead a successful service tea
- Willing to work weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
