**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for recruitment and retention of staff members. Assists in the development and ongoing support of the Human Resources Department's programs and initiatives.
- Responsible for the Villa's external posting process, assists the management team in the recruitment process including selection, referencing, interviews, offer letters and on boarding.
- Assists with general/nursing orientation.
- Accurately maintains the HRIS and Education Database.
- Track disciplinary and grievance process.
- Ensures complete confidentiality in all areas of the Human Resource Department and the Organization in its entirety.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in Human Resources is required
- Experience in recruitment utilizing varied platforms is required
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills is required
- Experience in long-term care or health care is preferred
- Initiative, high energy level, and the ability to co-ordinate a number of different activities running simultaneously, yet independently of one another is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills is an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
