**Job Summary**:
This position is a project-based position working in the Lands Office to assist with ground-breaking research on land management regimes, land tenure, and land use planning. The Lands Project Coordinator will primarily:

- support the review and critical analysis of research material and engagement data,
- plan, prepare and implement community outreach and engagement,
- prepare reports, memos and presentation documents, and
- attend community events and focus groups as required.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Assist the Senior Lands Analyst and Manager of Lands in:

- Conducting research, summarizing and presenting findings on land tenure, land management and land use planning in a collaborative environment.
- Conducting research on policies, standards, guidelines, regulations, legislation and best practices related to land tenure, land management and land use planning.
- Providing comparative analysis, evaluation and synthesis of data and research findings in written summaries, reports and/or presentations.
- Drafting a variety of documents and presentations including reports, workplans, memos and presentations in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Publisher.
- Organizing and facilitating community engagement events, meetings, focus groups, workshops and training sessions for committees, staff, and membership.
- Developing, organizing and maintaining information databases to support compliance with TWN records management policy.
- Maintaining and organizing project documentation, meeting notes, surveys, and other community input.
- Developing communications related materials by drafting and designing community outreach and educational content for social media, newsletters, community posters, etc.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
- An undergraduate degree in the following related fields: Land management, natural resource management, environmental studies, geography, or land use planning. Will accept equivalent combined academic and work experience.
- One (1) year of experience working or engaging with a First Nations community is desired.
- Must be willing to participate in job-related workshops, training, seminars and conferences to upgrade skills and training as required.
- Prior experience working to support a First Nations community with familiarity of First Nations culture and history. Knowledge of Tsleil-Waututh values and culture.
- Strong interpersonal ability and capacity to work cooperatively with a diversity of groups and personalities, including prior experience working with community groups, working groups or committees.
- Ability to read maps, legal surveys, and plans.
- Salary range ($47,342 - $55,697) based on Education and experience

- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Programs, the internet, social media, and other mediums of communication.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and collaboratively with teams to efficiently meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Basic understanding of land tenure and land use regulatory processes.
