**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough financial assessments to evaluate organization’s/clients' creditworthiness, debt-to-income ratios, and ability to repay mortgage loans.
- Provide personalized mortgage advice and guidance, explaining various mortgage products, interest rates, terms, and repayment options based on organization’s/clients' needs and preferences.
- Understand organization’s/client’s objectives, financial circumstances, and borrowing needs.
- Analyze credit reports, income verification documents, employment history, and assets to assess creditworthiness and risk exposure.
- Recommend appropriate mortgage products and terms tailored to clients' financial profiles and risk assessment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and banking policies governing mortgage lending practices in Canada, including regulatory requirements set by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI).
- Stay updated on changes in mortgage regulations, industry trends, and market conditions to ensure adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the mortgage process.
- Follow up with clients after mortgage approval to ensure satisfaction, offer additional banking products or services, and foster long-term client relationships.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in mortgage lending, preferably within a banking or financial institution in Canada.
- Thorough understanding of Canadian mortgage products, lending regulations, and underwriting criteria.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess clients' financial profiles, creditworthiness, and risk exposure effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in mortgage origination software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Mortgage Broker License or Mortgage Agent License (an asset).

**Salary**: $61,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
