Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:
- Conduct all regular day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment throughout the properties, including suites, common areas, and mechanical areas. Effectively troubleshoot minor maintenance issues that may arise.
- Ensure plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems are maintained in proper condition.
- Working with the HVAC Technician, ensure regular preventative maintenance of building systems and controls. Conduct daily checks of the complex and report any issues to the HVAC Technician.
- Maintain positive resident relations by scheduling maintenance operations appropriately.
- Assist with snow and ice removal as required.
- Conduct turnover repairs and painting as required.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of all public areas are painted as required, are in a good state of repair, and are kept clean.
- Ensure all amenities are maintained
- Order and pick up maintenance and shop supplies as required, with assistance from the Property Administrator.
- Manage maintenance requests from tenants through Yardi.
- Ensuring a safe working environment for staff and contractors and that OH&S requirements are followed by playing a key role to ensure policies are developed and followed.
- Ensuring that all company policies and standards are observed.
**Experience**:
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Technical diploma or similar in a related field considered an asset
- Experience with Yardi is considered an asset
The job is based on a 40-hour work week paid bi-weekly, less applicable deductions. Employment will be probationary for the first three months; after successful completion of the probationary period, you will be a full-time member of Yellowstone. After successful completion of the probationary period, you will immediately be eligible to join Yellowstone’s benefit plans. The health and wellness benefits are a non-contributory health, drug, dental and vision plan. After six months of full-time employment, you will be eligible to enroll in the RRSP matching contribution plan where Yellowstone will match up to 4% of the employee’s contribution.
