Our company **Software International (SI)** supplies technical talent to Fortune 100 & 500 companies and many other small/midsized organizations across Canada/US.

**Role **:Mainframe Performance - REMOTE**

**Duration : 1 year**

**Location : Remote**

**Type: Contract**

**Hours: 8 hrs/day**

**Rate : Based on experience**

**JOB DETAIL**

**What are the top responsibilities of this role?**

Performance Management is responsible for measuring, analyzing, reporting and tuning the performance of existing IT resources. Capacity Planning is responsible to plan for optimal IT resources required to fulfill current and future requirements. Data collection and reporting use, install and upgrade system tools. Participate in DR tests. This position also requires making architecture improvement solution recommendations to the account team and do the presentations to the client. Maintenance and administration of software tools like MICS, MXG and SAS are part of the position responsibilities.

In support of client account, interaction with other mainframe support teams (Security, Automation, zOS, DB2, IMS) as well as the IBM Account team and Project Managers

- Computer Associated MICS
- SAS
- zPCR (Processor Capacity Reference for IBM System z)
- zCP3000
- RMF I + II + III + Post Processing (Resource Measurement Facility)
- MXG
- WLM (Wrkload Manager)

Yes. This role is demanding. It requires a deep understanding of how zOS and MF functions interacts with the other mainframe components. This is key for designing, maintaining, and preforming problem resolution.
