**Highlights of the job**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Responsive Maintenance & Repair Manager to join our Water Services, Wastewater Collection (WWC) team at the Aurum site in Edmonton, AB.

As the Responsive Maintenance & Repair Manager you are accountable for the execution of asset repairs and maintenance for wastewater and storm water infrastructure (as deep as 4 ft. and/or that does not require shoring such as man-hole and catch basin repairs), customer-initiated appointment based maintenance on customer property the maintenance and inspection of all Storm Water Management Facilities and supporting System Operations’ response to emergent and emergency situations as required.

**What you’d be responsible for**:
In the Responsive Maintenance & Repair Manager role Repair you are accountable to Senior Manager, WWC Maintenance and operate within the context and prescribed limits established by Director, WWC. Key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Participate in the development of Operational Plan for the Unit and the identification of objectives and priorities (annual work plan) for the upcoming year.

- _Responsive Maintenance and Repair_
- Lead the team that undertakes planned maintenance on on-premise assets (e.g., clear blockages), executing asset repairs (e.g., man-hole and catch-basin repairs, SWMF repairs) and maintenance activities (e.g., algae and aquatic weed control and invasive species).
- Prioritize incoming work to minimize overall risk while meeting performance targets, operating & capital budgets and customer commitments.
- Develop, implement and review processes and procedures to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and to mitigate risks.
- Management and oversight of customer claims investigation pertaining to claims related to WWC maintenance activities
- Develop and foster relationships within the City of Edmonton departments where touch points exist on program development to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory requirements.
- Provide input and direction on new technology or process implementation

**What’s required to be successful**:
Qualifications, experience and behaviours you possess are:

- Completion of a post-secondary Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field) from a recognized educational institute.
- _ Equivalent experience leading operational teams in a utility environment may also be considered._
- Experience that includes:

- 5+ years in a management/supervisory role.
- 3+ years in or with project management
- Working with applicable computer software’s (IVARA, Geofit, Oracle and MS Office Suite).
- _ 5+ years of directly related experience in a utility environment with a focus on water distribution, wastewater collection and distribution and/or stormwater management, is considered a strong asset._
