**Position**:Technician
**Location**:Nanaimo, BC, and surrounding areas.
**Job Type**:Full-Time (40 hours per week)
**Salary**:$35-40 per hour (based on experience)
**Job Overview**:
As a Technician at Hillview Projects Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting skilled tradesmen, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Assist Skilled Tradesmen**: Provide support to carpenters, masons, electricians, and other skilled tradesmen in completing construction tasks.
- **Site Preparation**: Assist with the preparation of construction sites by cleaning and removing debris.
- **Material Handling**: Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from the worksite.
- **General Maintenance**: Perform general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and construction areas.
- **Hand and Power Tools**: Operate hand and power tools under the guidance of experienced personnel.
- **Complete assigned tasks**: including but not limited to:
- Plumbing work
- Electrical work
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Drywall repairs
- Fixture installations
- General maintenance
- **Quality**:Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets client expectations
- **Cleanliness**:Maintain a clean and organized work environment
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
