**About Us**:
The Housing & Ancillary Services (HAS) portfolio is a self-funded Division generating over $100M in annual revenues and is comprised of more than 900 full-time and sessional employees. Our undergraduate residences and university-owned apartments are home to over 7,300 students from 66 different countries from around the world.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Housing Admissions and Occupancy, the Coordinator, Occupancy & Data Management is responsible for coordinating and implementing processes to ensure the efficient and optimal placement of students in on-campus housing. The Coordinator ensures comprehensive delivery of housing services including but not limited to; admissions, room assignments, room occupancy records, confidential student record maintenance, and withdrawal processes. The Coordinator will develop and implement admissions and occupancy strategies to maintain and develop the information systems that support Housing. They are responsible for lliaising with other departments and University staff related to recruitment, communication, assignments, residence fees, transfers, cancellations and other processes related to administration of the Residence Contract. The Coordinator also ensures the Admissions team provides high-quality service to students, parents, faculty and staff seeking information about all aspects of the Housing portfolio, and is an active partner in the recruitment of high caliber students to Western working in collaboration with recruitment and marketing teams. The Coordinator will also support the assessment and evaluation of students’ experience in residence.

**Qualifications**:

- Education:
- Undergraduate Degree with a Major in Business Administration, Management & Organizational Studies, Statistics, Information and Media Studies or a related field
- Experience:
- 5 years' database administration experience
- 2 years' experience in marketing/communications or client service
- Experience related to occupancy management, residence or university admissions preferred
- Experience supporting operational leaders preferred
- Experience in an academic setting or public sector organization preferred
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of data base management and post-secondary admissions processes
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to process information with a high level of accuracy
- Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet design, creative presentation design, word processing and database management
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Strong proofreading abilities with an excellent command of the English language
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects from conception to completion within tightly prescribed timelines
- Possesses a reputation of resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
- Sufficient mathematical skills to be able to analyze financial transactions
- Ability to coordinate and integrate database systems
- Strong organizational skills, including managing competing priorities and an ability to adapt quickly to emerging priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization
- Ability to establish effective working relations and partnerships with clients, peers and external stakeholders
- Communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, write clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to remain highly motivated, resilient, innovative, and collaborative when faced with challenges
- Problem solving skills with a sense of urgency in resolving issues and getting tasks completed
