**Position Summary**:
The primary purpose of the IT Administrator role is to manage MCL’s computer infrastructure, provide technical support and ensure company systems runs smoothly. The IT Administrator will monitor and maintain the company’s computer network, upgrading and installing hardware and software and performing troubleshooting to resolve IT issues. The IT Administrator should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and is a key technical resource, providing advice, training and technical support for various projects. This position also works closely with Senior Management in evaluating current systems and aligning business objectives with the strategy for technology.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
In addition to adhering to the policies and procedures established by MCL, the IT Administrator is responsible for the following:

- Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment
- Install and maintain desktop computer hardware; including computers, monitors, printers, modems, internal cards, and other computer equipment
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models, testing and researching new technology to help us be as relevant and efficient as possible
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Review, prioritize, and process problem reports; document the progress of projects
- Supervise and provide end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
- Setting up new employees with necessary equipment, access and IT orientation
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, purchasing, and service provision
- Building customer reports as requested
- Supporting and maintaining our MCL express site and providing web support
- Assisting with paperless conversion
- Any additional tasks needed to achieve the responsibilities of the role or as assigned by the Controller or designate.

**Education/Experience**:

- Degree/Diploma in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar
- Recent certification, education, or at least 2 years’ experience managing Microsoft Servers, including Domain administration
- Recent certification, education, or at least 2 years’ experience managing Office365
- Recent certification, education, or at least 2 years experience managing network and cloud security

**Skills**:

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
- Resourceful with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to build and maintain long-term relationships (internal and external)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to deliver within tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
- Industry-specific knowledge and continuous learning
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
