Acerta is leading the future of manufacturing quality. Our ML/AI solution understands the digital thread of data for every vehicle and leverages that understanding to help our customers - global automakers and suppliers - dramatically improve their quality.

We've built a predictive quality analytics solution called LinePulse that arms our customers with actionable insights so they can proactively address quality issues before they impact production. Additionally, we also use ML/AI to create unique solutions for specific on-road challenges for our customers that want help with problems in the vehicle instead of quality issues in their manufacturing plants.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Finance will serve as a member of the company’s executive team. S/he will be responsible for providing financial leadership and developing and executing a framework by which the leadership can budget, forecast, and optimize the long-term strategy, while improving and scaling financial processes and systems. This individual will partner closely with the leadership team on strategy and analytical work, build materials and present to the Board of Directors, and serve as a thought leader in shaping the strategic direction for the organization.

**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Strategy and Planning**:

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial projections and analysis to support decision-making.
- Evaluate financial performance, identify areas of improvement, and provide data-based recommendations to optimize business outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations to assess their impact on Acerta's financial operations.
- Communicate financial performance to management team and to the Board of Directors. Help create presentations and analysis for the Board.

**Financial Reporting and Analysis**:

- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, identify trends, and assess business performance against key metrics.
- Provide insightful financial insights to the executive team and other stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making processes.

**Fundraising**
- Support CEO and management in the creation and presentation of documents, projections, and analysis for raising both debt and equity financing.
- Lead due diligence for both debt and equity investors.
- Review documents and negotiate terms with debt and equity investors.

**Risk Management and Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and laws.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess financial processes, identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective measures.

**Financial Operations and Systems**:

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, treasury, tax, and procurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and optimize financial processes.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making capabilities.

**Team Leadership and Development**:

- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Build and develop a skilled and motivated finance team, promoting professional growth and talent retention.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between the finance team and other departments within Acerta.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or a similar leadership role in a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial regulations.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial and operating data into actionable insights.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Attention to detail.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Prior experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.
