**POSITION DETAILS**:
The Globe and Mail is seeking two photo apprentices for early career photojournalists.
**Other requirements include**:
1. A driver’s license and vehicle (or quick access to a rental vehicle)
**2. Must own their photo gear**: a DSLR, lenses, lighting kit, smartphone, laptop and photo editing software (ideally Photo Mechanic and Adobe Photoshop)
3. Some experience covering news stories
This is a six-week paid position, classified as group C in The Globe and Mail’s Editorial Collective Agreement.
**Applications should include**:
1. A resume and cover letter
2. A tightly edited portfolio of 25 to 40 images consisting of news, portrait and documentary work
1. Photo captions must be embedded in the files
2. All files must be jpgs that are 1500 pixels on the long side
3. If desired, a project or other work that showcases your personal style
4. Images should be unedited and unfiltered, aside from basic cropping and colour correction
5. Work can be published or unpublished
