**Your day to day activities will include**:
Conduct mechanical and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment
Prepare and update preventative maintenance program
Participate in water treatment programs involving high pressure steam equipment
Work effectively in a feed manufacturing environment with emphasis and compliance to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
Optimize safety and reliability of machines and equipment by following and complying with appropriate precautions to prevent risk to employees and to the product
Complete and update maintenance reports as per company and regulatory standards
Perform maintenance post clean up and maintain high standard of sanitation and housekeeping in the production area and maintenance shop
Proactively forecast Parts needs/requirements and order accordingly

1+ years of experience in a maintenance position, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
Some experience in electrical and/or pneumatic equipment is required
Millwright or Electricians certificate is an asset
Knowledge of feed manufacturing and processing equipment is a definite asset
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work 10 hour shifts, which would include every second weekend
On call availability for emergency repairs during evenings and weekends
