**Position**: Aquatics Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor

**Description of Position**:
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Recreation and Facilities, the Aquatics Supervisors are responsible for:

- Administering and Supervising the Glencoe Pool, aquatics staff, and programs that are offered at the facility
- Being actively involved in programming at the Glencoe Pool, including but not limited to swim lessons, facility rentals, and drop-in recreational programming
- Perform various maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe facility
- Securing the facility after programs
- Maintaining effective public relations and handling public inquiries efficiently. As well as educating the public with respect to programs offered by the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.
- Maintaining effective communications with all levels of staff and supervisors
- Coaching and mentoring aquatic staff
- Ensuring high standards of safety supervision. Monitors staff and public to ensure that all Southwest Middlesex Policies and Ontario Regulations are upheld at all times. Reports deficiencies in a timely manner. Routinely makes decisions impacting public safety including decisions on when and if to close a swim due to safety related issues.

**Qualifications, experience and education**:

- Must be 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Minimum of 2 years of lifeguarding and aquatics instructing experience
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (C) (or willingness to obtain
- Valid National Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor (SI)
- Valid National Lifesaving Society Life Saving Instructor (LSI)
- Current National Lifeguard
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Background Check
- Experience with aquatic chemistry and mechanics will be considered an asset

Experience working in programming with children and adults will be considered an asset
- Leadership and supervisory experience will be considered an asset

**COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $18.74-$21.91 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Glencoe, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
