Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) is the Provincial Sport Organization recognized by Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA), Canadian Snowsports Association, Ontario Winter Games, Canada Winter Games, and the Ontario Government. Southern Ontario Division (SOD) is a division under AOA that is made up of 28 clubs across Southern Ontario. Alpine Ontario is made up of a dynamic and passionate team of professionals, AOA is responsible for bringing the joy of ski racing to athletes, families, coaches, and clubs - from start gates and podium finishes to careers and community. And we’re on a mission to empower a safe, inclusive, and integrated alpine sport ecosystem, for everyone.

The SOD Event Activation Contractor must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, organized and be able to work both with teams and independently and self-manage in outdoor winter environments.

Throughout the term of this Agreement, the Contractor shall provide support to AOA community and staff in the areas of Event Support. Specifically, the Contractor, will be responsible as follows:
○ Project Management
- Attending a weekly meeting to provide general updates and uncover new opportunities to best service our SOD race events

○ SOD Event and Race Activation
- Work alongside SOD Competition and Development Manager to plan AOA partner deliverables at SOD races and events.
- Setup of partner banners and flags at SOD races and events.
- Lead the AOA team in ensuring AOA partner activation at events, recruiting help if needed
- Operation of AOA pop-up store at designated events/races
- Live promotion of AOA fundraising initiatives such as the raffles or draws
- Capture event stories by photo/video
- Engaging with AOA racers, coaches, parents, officials, and Sponsors to act as an ambassador of AOA

Travel is required for this position. The SOD races span approximately 5 weekends through January and February. Races take place on Saturdays and Sundays at a variety of hills across southern Ontario. Applicant must have access to a vehicle to get to events and to transport AOA flags, banners, and prizing.
