Maple Leaf Marinas is the largest owner of premium Marinas in Canada with locations on Lake Simcoe, Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph and Georgian Bay, Ontario. We are seeking a strong, motivated individual for this role; a self-starter that enjoys a challenge. The Accounting Lead will work from our Satellite office in Mactier, ON and report to the Regional Accounting Manager.

Accounting Lead, Muskoka Satellite Office, Mactier, ON

Accounting Duties include:

- Coordinate the month-end close for the marina portfolio
- Oversee and assist with monthly account reconciliations
- Analyze results and report on variances
- Maintain general ledgers and chart of accounts
- Monthly Manager reporting and ad hoc financial statements
- Recommend enhancements to internal controls as required
- Provide training on new policies and procedures
- Other projects as deemed necessary
- Travel to Marinas occasionally for support (Northern Georgian Bay/Muskoka area)

Knowledge & Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good time management skills, able to manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with LightSpeed and Dock Master would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Team player

Education & Experience
- Post Secondary education in Accounting/Finance
