**Ophthalmic Technician**

**Qualifications**:

- Experience/Education in the ophthalmic field is preferred but will train for the right person
- Work experience in a medical office setting (An asset)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is essential
- Computer skills, experience with using EMR System Accuro (preferred)
- Detail-oriented and have the ability to work well with a team, as well as independently.
- Willingness to learn new technology

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Screening patients: taking history, visual acuity and tonometry.
- Performing various preliminary diagnostic testing: OCT, IOL Master, Visual Fields
- Cleaning
- Update electronic records and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned
- Maintain a friendly and professional appearance and conduct
- Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
