**About the role**

We’re looking for a **Commercial Auto Adjuster** to join our growing team

As a Commercial Auto Adjuster, your work will have a big impact on assisting our customers through their Auto Loss. People will count on you to effectively communicate and settle auto claims both online and over the phone. You will help our customers through difficult times, demonstrating empathy and strong listening skills as you investigate a wide variety of claims through to completion. You will be responsible for helping our customers using a variety of different technological tools in order to provide expedient and efficient service.

**This position can be based out of Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton**

**What you’ll do here**:

- Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, through proactive contact with the customer during the claims process.
- Analyze the information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, assess damage.
- Investigate auto claims in a timely manner through communication with the customer, vendors, experts, appraisers and any other related parties.
- Document the claims file by obtaining appropriate reports and statements from customers, appraisers, third party adjusters, claimants, witnesses, police, and any other pertinent experts to determine coverage within established authority limits, negotiate with customers to settle claims.
- Keep up to date on Intact’s insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and services.
- Work diligently to maintain a standard of quality and meet departmental and corporate goals and targets.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Prior experience in claims departments or claims handling, preferably personal or commercial auto
- Experience with in/out bound queue environment
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical and priority management skills
- Ongoing commitment to self-development (i.e. CIP program participation)
- University degree or college diploma preferred and/or equivalent business experience
- Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
