Dental Receptionist

- **Duties**:_
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's calendar
- Manage accounts receivable and collect payments from patients
- Write up bank deposits and process cheques
- Assist with room turnovers/cleaning and setting up operatories
- Light cleaning of office (vacuuming/dusting/laundry etc.)
- Submit insurance claims/ dental pre-treatment authorizations
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records system
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably dental office setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Very detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Positive, friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Knowledge of Gold Dental Software required
- Background in healthcare/dental field an asset and a plus
Office hours are 8:30AM-5:00PM Monday - Thursday
