**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Phoenix is based upon PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM and is primarily a payroll system. There are 100+ interfaces with other systems, including 25 external HR/PeopleSoft systems that provide information such as Job Data, Additional Pay and Time & Labour, as well as interfaces to downstream systems such as financial, benefits and pension.

The IBM test team supporting the Phoenix payroll system provides testing centre of excellence services to the overall Phoenix program, defining the testing processes, performing system/integration/regression/performance testing, and building technologies to improve quality and speed of testing.

This role plans and coordinates execution of complex payroll testing cycles and regression test cycles across both IBM and client teams.

Responsibilities and Activities
- Identify stakeholders required to provide input and support the test cycles and hold kickoff sessions to provide information, collect inputs and validate test design
- Define the test requirements and steps needed to validate the changes being introduced to the system
- Work with the release test leads to plan and execute manual regression test cycles
- Document the detailed test preparation, execution and validation steps and review them with stakeholders to obtain their agreement
- Hold regular team meetings and publish regular communications to coordinate the preparation and execution of test cycles
- Ensure defects are identified, documented and resolved
- Review defects, coordinate resolution with functional/development teams
- Provide status reports on team activities and testing status
- Participate in various status meetings - test team, project team, client, program, process, quality improvement
- Location - Ontario

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- 10+ years of software testing leadership experience:

- Contributing to the creation of test strategies and plans
- Reviewing and providing feedback on requirements and specifications
- Organizing and leading testing teams
- Overseeing test preparation, test execution, defect resolution and the capture of test results
- Reporting on test status
- PeopleSoft HCM functional knowledge (primarily Payroll)
- Able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Eligible for Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance

University degree or 3 year college diploma, or 10 years equivalent experience in a business or technology discipline
